Financial Expertise Sought

We are seeking a highly skilled financial professional to excel in our organization. This key role demands expertise in accounting software testing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and reliability.

This position requires an in-depth understanding of accounting standards, double-entry bookkeeping, ledgers, and taxation processes. You will bridge the gap between technical testing and accounting knowledge, collaborating closely with product managers, accountants, and developers to refine requirements and test coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review business and accounting requirements to design and execute test cases for financial modules.
  • Perform functional, regression, and integration testing on financial modules (e.g., General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Taxation, Payroll).
  • Validate that double-entry bookkeeping principles are applied correctly across all transactions.
  • Ensure accurate posting, balancing, and reconciliation of ledgers.
  • Test compliance with relevant tax rules and regulations (e.g., VAT, GST, Corporate Tax, Withholding Tax).
  • Identify, document, and track software defects, ensuring timely resolution with the development team.
  • Conduct end-to-end testing of financial workflows, including financial reporting and statutory statements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA/CA/ACCA certification preferred).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, double-entry bookkeeping, ledgers, and reconciliation.
  • Knowledge of taxation frameworks (domestic and international exposure preferred).
  • Prior experience in software testing or QA for financial applications is an advantage.
