Data Protection Expert

We are seeking an experienced Backup Specialist to fill a key position in our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data protection and recovery, with at least 6+ years of experience in backup and restore operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyze and resolve complex backup/restore failures, performance-related issues, auxiliary copy, and replication operations using Commvault tools.
- Troubleshoot Commvault logs to identify root causes of issues and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and manage various policy types, including storage policies, schedules, retention, archive, and cleanup for backup jobs.
- Patch and maintain Commvault software, Media Agent, and Client servers to ensure optimal performance.
- Create standard operating procedures (SOP) and design documents to streamline business processes.
- Configure and schedule backups for NetApp NAS shares using NFS and CIFS protocols to ensure data integrity.
- Monitor Commvault licenses and optimize usage to meet business needs.
- Prepare regular reports for data analysis to inform business decisions.
The successful candidate will have over 8+ years of experience in Commvault, expertise in V11 Java GUI/Admin console, and hands-on experience with Microsoft Exchange, SQL, Sybase, VMWare, File Agent, and PowerShell scripting.
