Job Summary:

This is an exciting role for a Simulation Engineer to work with our Digital Transformation Team. The successful candidate will work independently and as part of a team to develop and test simulation models for different power plants used in Ovation products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Develop, test and tune assigned systems/sub-systems within agreed project scope and schedule.">
  • Prepare, review and submit data collection lists and functional design specifications.">
  • Support pre-factory acceptance tests and factory acceptance tests in India or at overseas locations.">
  • Follow department quality procedures during various stages of projects.">
  • Integrate all systems/sub-systems for testing and lead the team to deliver high-quality digital twin simulators to customers.">
  • Work closely with the global modeling team and extend support as required.">

Requirements:

">

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Simulation Engineer with a degree in mechanical engineering or power plant engineering.

">

The ideal candidate should have:

">
  • ">
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in coal/combined cycle power plant operation/modeling.">
  • Strong computer skills.">
  • Minimum English language skills - speaking and writing.">
  • Creativity to apply knowledge in thermodynamics to design systems.">
  • Ability to work in a team and travel abroad up to 30-40% of working time.">
  • Preferred qualifications: any previous work experience with simulation/modeling tools, good knowledge of power plant process and operation, excellent communication skills.">
