We're seeking a skilled Senior Embedded Software Developer to join our team in creating remarkable connected mobility technologies that give our customers unmatched value. As a senior engineer, you will be responsible for leading cross-functional projects through the entire software development lifecycle, providing technical guidance and mentorship to team members, and solving complex and impactful problems for the company.

About the Role:

Job Title: Senior Engineer - Embedded Software
Experience: 8 - 13 years
Reporting to: Engineering Manager
Job Type: Full-Time
The embedded software solutions department at Sibros focuses on in-vehicle software stack development and integration. In this role, you will design, implement, test, document, and deploy new features, enhancements, and bug fixes for our in-vehicle software that enables connectivity use cases such as Software Deployments, Data Logging, Remote Diagnostics, and much more.

  • Design, implement, test, release, and maintain embedded software that can easily be deployed on a wide range of hardware, operating systems, and vehicle architectures.
  • Perform design and code reviews for team members and inspire them to write high-quality code.
  • Investigate, debug, and resolve issues reported by customers.
  • Collaborate internally with cross-functional teams and externally with customers to create plans, identify risks, resolve issues, and deliver product features on schedule.
  • Create and contribute to project plans, requirements documents, design documents, test plans, and other documentation.
What You'll Need:
  • 8+ years of experience in developing production-quality Embedded C software.
  • Proficient in Embedded C programming on resource-constrained RTOS-based systems.
  • Experience working on bootloaders.
  • Deep understanding of working with compilers, linkers, static libraries.
  • Proven track record of leading and delivering projects in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
  • Experience working with modern software development methodologies and tools (Agile, Git, unit testing, static analysis, code review, etc.).
  • Great team player with excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, take feedback well, and learn quickly.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with IoT technologies and concepts (MQTT, gRPC, HTTPS, security, OTA software updates, telemetry, etc.).
  • Familiar with automotive networking and protocols (CAN, UDS, etc.).
  • Experience with C++/Android programming and debugging.
  • Experience with collaboration and development tools: Bazel, JIRA, Confluence, Google Test.
