Game Economy Designer Role

We are seeking a skilled Game Economy Designer to craft engaging and enriching gaming experiences for players worldwide. The successful candidate will design and manage in-game economies, ensuring a balance between player experience and monetization.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Economy Design: Develop compelling economy models for our games, creating and balancing in-app currencies, progression curves, reward structures, and monetization systems.
  • Data Modeling & Analysis: Use data modeling and player segmentation to forecast behavioral trends and evaluate the impact of new features.
  • Economic Balancing: Continuously iterate on game economy design based on KPI analysis to enhance player satisfaction and performance.
  • Event Planning: Plan and design economy-driven live events and promotions (e.g., sales, challenges, time-limited events).
  • Pricing Strategy Optimization: Conduct and analyze A/B tests for pricing strategies, rewards, and progression tuning to optimize key KPIs related to monetization, engagement, and retention.
  • Economy Documentation: Prepare detailed economy specifications, balancing sheets, and documentation for cross-functional teams and collaborate with them as they implement it.
  • Economic Stability: Design systems to prevent exploits, control inflation, and maintain long-term economic stability.
  • Economic Fairness: Ensure consistent economic balance and fairness across platforms.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in game economy design, preferably in Social Casino games.
  • Deep understanding of free-to-play economy design, monetization strategies, and player psychology.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets, or other statistical tools for analytical modeling.
  • Experience working closely with developers, product managers, and analysts.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Passion for gaming and a good understanding of the gaming industry.
  • Mastery in Math, Statistics, Economics, or Engineering.
