Iron Ore Purchaser Role

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our iron ore purchasing efforts. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of the industry, hands-on experience in trading and procurement, and exceptional negotiation skills to secure high-value contracts while ensuring regulatory compliance.

  • Source iron ore from suppliers, including lumps, fines, and pellets.
  • Negotiate pricing, quality, and delivery terms with vendors.
  • Coordinate logistics, including warehousing and shipping.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Stay up-to-date on global and domestic market trends to inform pricing and strategy decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including mining laws and policies.
  • Manage documentation, including contracts and customs paperwork.
  • Provide regular updates to management through performance reports and trade analysis.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in any field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in iron ore trading and procurement.
  • In-depth knowledge of iron ore grades, including Fe%.
  • Understanding of mining operations, beneficiation, and logistics.
  • Familiarity with local mining regulations and clearances.
