Automation Architect

The Automation Architect plays a pivotal role in designing and developing test automation frameworks using various tools. This includes Selenium, UFT, SOAP UI, and API testing. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in Test Automation with hands-on knowledge of different automation tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the design architecture of automation projects by identifying optimal solutions and executing them efficiently.
  • Promote QA productivity through automation tools and other best practices to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Assist in ongoing process improvement efforts to enhance test planning execution and reporting processes.
  • Develop innovative solutions to complex problems and lead the definition implementation and maintenance of standard test automation processes methodologies tools and templates.
  • Collaborate with teams on the automation strategy and tool kit selection to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Perform code reviews and verify coding standards are being met to maintain high-quality deliverables.
  • Work with peer discipline leads in Development QA and Project Management to drive collaboration and achieve shared goals.
  • Mentor junior and senior software quality engineers to facilitate their growth and development.

Requirements:

  • Experience in RESTful SOAP Webservices Groovy to leverage the power of automation tools.
  • Proficiency in BDD Tools like JBehave or Cucumber to streamline testing processes.
  • Expertise in CI Tools like Jenkins to automate build deployment and testing.
  • Knowledge of Database testing to ensure robust data management.
  • Hands-on experience with built tools like Gradle or Maven etc. to manage dependencies and streamline builds.
  • Excellent oral written communication documentation skills to convey complex ideas effectively.
  • Ability to work with geographically dispersed teams to foster collaboration and achieve common goals.
  • Customer facing experience is essential to develop strong relationships with clients.
  • Airlines ecommerce automation testing experience is highly valued but not mandatory.
  • Experience in transitioning automation activities from other teams vendor will be beneficial but not necessary.
