Senior Web Development Manager Position

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Web Development Manager with extensive expertise in PHP frameworks and WordPress development, complemented by strong project management skills. This role will lead and mentor a team of developers, overseeing full-cycle web development projects to ensure timely, high-quality delivery aligned with business goals.

  • Lead, manage, and mentor a cross-functional team of web developers and project managers.
  • Architect, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel, CodeIgniter) and WordPress.
  • Oversee end-to-end project execution — from requirement gathering to delivery — ensuring quality, timeliness, and adherence to best practices.
  • Collaborate with clients, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Implement best practices in coding, architecture, and project management.
  • Conduct regular code reviews and performance evaluations for the development team.
  • Manage resources, timelines, and communication between internal teams and external clients.
  • Utilize project management methodologies to track deliverables, manage risks, and drive efficiency.
Requirements:

To succeed as a Senior Web Development Manager, you should have:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in web development with a strong focus on PHP and WordPress.
  • Proven experience in leading web development teams and managing complex projects.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management qualification is highly preferred.
  • Expertise in one or more PHP frameworks (Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter).
  • In-depth knowledge of WordPress (custom themes, plugins, multisite, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of front-end technologies like HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery.
  • Hands-on experience with version control tools (Git), deployment tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in an agency or client-facing environment.

Familiarity with hosting environments and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, etc.).

Agile/Scrum project management experience.
