Job Summary

As a seasoned engineering leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our cybersecurity platform’s technical strategy and architecture. Your expertise in building and scaling high-performing teams will be instrumental in driving end-to-end engineering execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute the engineering roadmap in alignment with company goals
  • Build and scale a lean engineering team through strategic hiring and mentoring
  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of secure, scalable software products
  • Establish best practices in coding, testing, CI/CD, observability, and architecture
  • Collaborate with founders, product, and design to translate business needs into technical execution
  • Make informed technical decisions on architecture, tools, and platform design
  • Set and track key performance indicators for velocity, quality, and reliability
  • Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards
  • Stay ahead of emerging technologies and implement innovations strategically
Success Metrics:
  • Grow an initial engineering team of 5–7 engineers within the first year
  • Deliver a minimum viable product release of Visiblaze IQ and establish a roadmap for enterprise readiness
  • Implement secure, automated CI/CD pipelines and monitoring baselines
  • Document and establish engineering best practices and architecture standards
  • Demonstrate measurable improvements in team velocity and product quality
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional software engineering experience
  • At least 4+ years hands-on development experience
  • At least 2–3 years in engineering management, including team building and delivery
  • Proven ability to hire, mentor, and grow engineering talent
  • Experience delivering SaaS products, preferably in cybersecurity, cloud, or compliance
  • Strong foundation in system architecture, microservices, and cloud-native design
  • Proficiency in PostgreSQL, Redis, and scalable data modeling
  • Experience with REST APIs and GraphQL
  • Familiarity with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda) or similar cloud environments
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Nice to Have:
  • Experience with Kubernetes or container orchestration platforms
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis Streams)
  • Experience with monitoring & logging tools (Prometheus, ELK, CloudWatch)
  • Exposure to compliance-driven environments (SOC 2, ISO 27001)
  • Understanding of security best practices for SaaS products
