Printed Circuit Board Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Printed Circuit Board Design Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing PCBs that meet our organization's standards.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and validate PCB libraries in line with organizational standards, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  • Perform schematic capture and ensure design correctness through thorough analysis and verification.
  • Execute component placement considering electrical, DFA, and DFM constraints, optimizing performance and reliability.
  • Develop power split plans and ensure robust design for power delivery, minimizing energy losses and heat generation.
  • Carry out PCB routing with controlled impedance and length-tuning as required, ensuring signal integrity and stability.
  • Handle the complete post-Gerber process with fabrication and assembly readiness, guaranteeing timely delivery and quality.
  • Define and calculate layer stack-ups for various board designs, taking into account material properties and manufacturing constraints.
  • Work with HDI technologies, including blind/buried vias and high-speed peripherals, staying up-to-date with industry advancements and innovations.
  • Apply DFX guidelines during design and carry out validation reviews, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Ensure compliance with SI/PI requirements through analysis and validation, guaranteeing reliable and efficient system operation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve design robustness and reliability, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Hands-on experience with leading PCB design tools (e.g., Allegro, Altium, Mentor Graphics), utilizing their full capabilities and features.
  • Strong knowledge of constraints setting, routing, and post-layout checks, applying this expertise to optimize design performance and efficiency.
  • Experience with signal integrity and power integrity validation methodologies, ensuring reliable and stable system operation.
  • Proven expertise in multi-layer PCB stack-up design and materials selection, balancing performance, cost, and manufacturability.
  • Familiarity with HDI techniques, blind/buried vias, and high-speed interfaces, staying current with industry developments and trends.
  • Good understanding of DFM, DFA, and DFT considerations in PCB design, ensuring that designs meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, able to identify and resolve complex design issues.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment, communicating effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
