Job Title: Equity Research Analyst

About the Job:

We are seeking an experienced Equity Research Analyst to join our team. As an Equity Research Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting financial modeling and research to help us make informed investment decisions.

The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.

  • Conduct financial modeling and analysis to identify investment opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain databases of financial information.
  • Assist in the preparation of earnings reviews, preview, attend con calls and management meetings.
  • Prepare pitch notes/presentations, industry and thematic notes.
  • Collect and analyze news.
  • Handle ad hoc research requests.

Requirements:

To be successful as an Equity Research Analyst, you will need:

  • Excellent financial modeling and research skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • An eye for detail and ability to handle multiple workflows with tight deadlines.
  • Numerical abilities.
  • Ability to think through drivers and KPIs across broad range of sectors.
  • Building complex, error-free models with well-defined revenue/cost driver assumptions.
  • Carrying out earnings sensitivity analysis.
  • Providing own valuation views after carrying out relative, DCF-based or industry appropriate valuations.
  • Writing skills.
  • Writing in a logical and structured manner that requires minimal rework.
  • Writing bulletins and one-page summaries.
  • Linking macro/industry analysis to the output.
  • Building effective presentations.
  • Others.
  • Collecting news; summarizing and providing analysis that adds value; and preparing charts, tables, and databases.

Desirable Qualifications:

Experience in using technologies such as Python, SQL, Power BI, etc would be advantageous.
