Cybersecurity Specialist with SOC Expertise

We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and responding to security threats within an organization's IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate expertise in Schellman Methodology
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues
  • Obtain relevant certifications (ISO LA, CISA, CISSP, AWS CCP)
  • Successfully manage projects from start to finish
  • Develop a deep understanding of Principal Service Commitments and System Requirements
  • Demonstrate proficiency in identifying potential exceptions that could impact report opinions
  • Demonstrate self-organization and proactive planning skills
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments through regular reading of STMV quarterly reports
  • Apply concepts from AS 2.0 Reference Guide and EWP WP Guidance
  • Pursue additional certifications (CCSK, ISO 27001 LA, CISA, AWS CCP)
  • Understand the differences between SOC 1 and SOC 2
  • Participate in attestation offerings such as HIPAA, AUP, C5, etc.
Requirements:
  • Working knowledge of Schellman's services, methodology, and relevant professional standards
  • Requisite knowledge of applicable technology and security domains
  • High level of attention to detail and quality of work product
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office applications and Schellman's service delivery tools
  • Familiarity with industry ethics and independence principles
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business management, technology, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in information security auditing, assessment, consulting, or compliance
  • Able to travel approximately 40-50% of the time
  • Maintains or working towards obtaining relevant certifications (CPA, CCSK, CISA)
