Job Role: Business Operations Specialist - Cloud Optimization

Location: Remote

Contract Term: 6 Months

Overview:

We are seeking a Business Operations Specialist to support cloud operations, data automation, cost optimization, and infrastructure resilience. The role will work closely with engineering, data, and vendor management teams to drive process improvement and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze workflows, define key performance indicators (KPIs), and build dashboards for decision-making.
  • Support Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud cost optimization (reservations, savings plans, anomaly detection).
  • Assist with infrastructure monitoring, capacity planning, and resilience (recovery time objective/recovery point objective).
  • Collaborate with EDP, Data Engineering, and vendor teams for process standardization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 3–5 years' experience in data analysis, business intelligence, and cloud operations.
  • Strong in Structured Query Language (SQL) + Python/R for analysis and automation.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud + FinOps practices.
  • Proficiency in Power BI/QuickSight or similar visualization tools.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring and cost optimization.
  • Preferred: AWS certifications, Databricks/Big Data exposure, experience with Infrastructure as Code/Continuous Integration-Continuous Deployment.
