Project Oversight Role

As a project oversight professional, you will lead the execution of software engineering projects and programs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery and achievement of targeted outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Planning and Strategy
  • Define and manage program scope, goals, and roadmap in collaboration with engineering and product leadership.
  • Develop and implement project-level planning and prioritization strategies.
  • Collaborative Execution
  • Coordinate efforts across multiple software development teams and technical team members to ensure seamless execution.
  • Facilitate milestone planning and progress tracking to maintain visibility and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Delivery Excellence
  • Monitor and report on project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, and best practices.
  • Identify and resolve delivery blockers, manage interdependencies, and escalate critical issues.
  • Team Communication and Collaboration
  • Promote effective communication between engineering, product, and team members to ensure alignment around project objectives.
  • Provide regular updates on status, risks, and project decisions to stakeholders.
  • Risk and Issue Management
  • Manage project-related risks and issues, maintaining risk mitigation plans and contingency strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management or related fields, preferably in software engineering.
  • Proven expertise in software development life cycles (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Relevant certifications such as PMP, SAFe, or equivalent.
