Cyber SOC Operations SIEM Platform Engineer

As a Deputy Manager in our Cyber Team, you will build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients to exceed client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide on-call support for critical issues during an 8-hour general shift.
  • Manage platforms for SIEM, SOAR, UEBA, NBAD, DLP, Anti-APT, Deception, VM, and other solutions.
  • Ensure timely integration of log sources.
  • Manage SIEM rules to reduce false positives.
  • Optimize SIEM performance for efficient processing and alerting.
  • Generate reports for compliance and audit requirements.
  • Integrate UEBA solutions with security infrastructure.
  • Develop and fine-tune machine learning models to detect abnormal activities.
  • Provide insights and context to support security investigations.
  • Reduce false positives by fine-tuning alerting mechanisms.
  • Automate workflows to streamline security operations.
  • Implement and manage incident response playbooks.
  • Integrate SOAR platforms with various security tools and systems.
  • Enhance the efficiency of security operations through orchestration and automation.
  • Track and report on the effectiveness of automation and response efforts.
  • Manage platform updates, upgrades, and maintenance.
  • Work closely with other security teams to enhance threat detection, investigation, and response processes.
  • Provide training and support to security analysts on platform use and capabilities.
  • Ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are met.
Skills Required:
  • A deep understanding of networking, operating systems, and security principles.
  • Experience designing and implementing proposed solutions in at least two clients.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using advanced security tools and technologies.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and make critical decisions.
  • Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with evolving threat landscapes.
  • Minimum 4-9 years of experience in managing proposed solutions with OEM certification.
