Electrical Design Professional

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing electrical distribution systems and working with global teams on water/wastewater projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design (concept, FEED, and detail design) of electrical distribution systems based on international standards for Middle East, Europe, and South East Asia projects
  • Working knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes, including pumping stations, desalination, STPs, etc.
  • Support global, multi-disciplinary teams on Water/Waste Water projects
  • Prepare design basis, load list, cable schedule, single line diagrams, schematics, bulk MTO, and interconnection schedules
  • Understand P&ID, control philosophy, and control system architecture
  • Familiar with I/O lists, loop diagrams, instrument lists, and instrument datasheets
  • Perform equipment sizing calculations: transformers, generators, cables, UPS, capacitor banks
  • Conduct earthing and lightning protection calculations
  • Use ETAP/SKM/Amtech for system studies, including load flow, short circuit, relay settings, etc.
  • Prepare technical specifications and data sheets for electrical equipment
  • Handle RFQ preparation, technical offer evaluation, and vendor drawing reviews
  • Review HV/LV schematics and prepare electrical layouts, trench/tray layouts, lighting layouts
  • Coordinate with architects, structural, mechanical, and process engineers
Requirements
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
  • 8+ years of experience in electrical design (preferably for water sector)
  • Proficient in Dialux, ETAP, and MS Office
  • AutoCAD understanding is essential
  • Able to work independently and in global integrated teams
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn new tools and technologies
