Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled candidate to create, execute, and lead SQA activities in telecom roaming and clearing applications and domains.

Responsibilities

  • Install, test, and release software applications in telecommunications systems with experience primarily in 4G LTE and 5G.
  • The QA Engineer will be responsible for working in a development Agile environment to develop and execute test plans and test case scenarios in portal and back-end functionality.
  • Support existing automate test scenarios.
  • Create new automation test scenarios based on a published set of functional and technical requirements.
  • Collaborate and support operations team to ensure smooth software deployments into production environments.
  • Possesses the drive and ability to work with minimal supervision and/or independently.
  • Utilizes experience and judgment to plan and accomplish Agile stories and release goals.
  • Creates tests and defect reports using the team standards and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Experience Required: Expertise in testing Telecom-based applications using one or more of the following protocols: DIAMETER, SS7 (ISUP), M3UA, TCAP, AIN, IS41, MAP, INAP, SIP.
  • Experience in Oracle database and ability to create and execute complex SQL queries.
  • Experience creating, executing, and automating test cases in the telecom domain.
  • In-depth knowledge in UNIX or Linux client-server applications, including application installation/configuration, trouble shooting and load/performance.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Java and Selenium.
  • Experience writing UNIX shell scripts.
  • Experience with JIRA defect and Agile reporting functions.
  • Experience with software version control such as Git and/or SVN.
  • Ability to create high-level and detailed test plans and test reports.
  • Thorough understanding of SDLC processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience Desired:

  • Experience in AWS data platforms.
  • Experience in protocol testing tools such as MGTS, INET, Spectra, Seagull.
  • Experience in network protocols such as SCTP, TCP, UDP, TLS, DTLS.
  • Experience with gdb and memory analysis/code coverage tools like valgrind and Insure++.
  • Experience in Rest API testing.
  • Experience with build integration tools such as Jenkins.
  • Experience with AST (Application Security Testing) Tools such as SonarQube, Veracode, Tenable.
  • Knowledge of Python, or Perl in automating repetitive tests.
