Cloud Engineer Position

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to assist in the design and implementation of our cloud infrastructure on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of AWS architectures, DevOps practices, and security measures. They will be responsible for designing and developing scalable, secure, and highly available AWS solutions, collaborating with stakeholders to understand business requirements, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal security policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 7-9 years of experience in Information Technology
  • Strong experience implementing access control using IAM
  • Experience with repository management (Git)
  • Experience implementing, maintaining, and monitoring AWS Workspaces
  • Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible Tower, AWS CloudFormation)
  • Strong AWS implementation and administration experience
  • Experience monitoring/maintaining secure networking practices within the AWS infrastructure
  • Experience monitoring/maintaining multi-region disaster recovery solutions using AWS services
  • Experience with CloudTrail and CloudWatch
  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and processes to achieve commitments
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to all levels of the organization
  • Process and technical documentation skills

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
  • Scripting capability and ability to develop scripted AWS infrastructure
  • General understanding of multi-region and hybrid cloud architectures
