About the Role

Amazon is seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst and Reporting Specialist to join its Global Financial Services Production Planning Team. As a key member of this team, you will play a critical role in analyzing and interpreting complex data to drive business decisions.

The ideal candidate will possess advanced SQL skills, extensive experience with databases, data management, and data warehousing. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement data visualization solutions using Excel, Power BI, QuickSight, and other platforms.

In this position, you will be responsible for:

  • Simplifying and automating reporting processes to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Improving back-end data sources for increased accuracy and simplicity.
  • Recognizing and adopting best practices in reporting and analysis.
  • Conducting deep dive analyses of business problems and formulating conclusions and recommendations.

A day in the life of a Data Analyst and Reporting Specialist at Amazon includes:

  • Working on continuous improvement projects to increase automation and reduce churn for analysts.
  • Generating reports and tools to meet new business needs.
  • Creatingsolutions to improve data access for business analysts.

We are looking for candidates with:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Informatics, Statistics, or an equivalent quantitative field.
  • 2+ years of experience as an analyst or engineer in the data/BI space.
  • Advanced SQL skills, extensive experience with databases, data management, and data warehousing.
  • Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.

A competitive salary range for this position is between $120,000 and $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
