Job Title: Chemical Engineering Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Chemical Engineering Specialist to join our global team in supporting pharma innovation through process intensification, tech transfer, and sustainable manufacturing solutions.

This is a high-impact opportunity for a motivated engineer to grow within a globally distributed pharma project team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and optimizing flow chemistry and batch processes for scale-up and commercial manufacturing.
  • Performing process design calculations, including heat and mass balance, reaction kinetics, equipment sizing, pressure drop, mixing, and scale-up parameters.
  • Preparing and reviewing engineering deliverables such as Block Flow Diagrams (BFDs), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Supporting process safety assessments, including HAZOP, risk analysis, and safety studies.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure robust process design.
  • Evaluating new technologies and proposing innovative solutions for continuous manufacturing and flow chemistry applications.
  • Providing process engineering support during pilot plant and commercial scale-up.
  • Working with procurement and vendors for equipment selection and specification preparation.

To succeed in this role, you will need a strong background in chemical engineering, hands-on experience in flow chemistry and batch process design, and expertise in simulation software such as Aspen Plus or ChemCAD. You will also possess strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills, as well as knowledge of process safety principles.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
  • Proven experience in flow chemistry and batch process design
