Software Engineering Leadership Opportunity

Spectral Consultants is seeking a visionary leader to head its Software Engineering division, driving innovation and excellence in the development of its SaaS Platform.

About the Role

  • Create and execute a platform engineering strategy aligned with product and business objectives.
  • Develop and oversee global R&D roadmaps and product transformation initiatives.
  • Foster high-performing engineering teams and mentor leaders.
  • Ensure the development and operation of a scalable, reliable SaaS platform.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, Sales, and Customer Success teams.
  • Making technical decisions balancing engineering, business, and customer needs.
  • Drive continuous improvement in performance, scalability, stability, and security.
  • Promote Agile methodologies and encourage data-driven decision making.
  • Represent engineering to senior stakeholders and report on progress and challenges.

Candidate Requirements

  • 20+ years in software engineering, with 15+ years in SaaS platform/product development.
  • Proven leadership managing teams of 100+ engineers across diverse skill sets.
  • Expertise in cloud-native architectures, containers, APIs, Infrastructure-as-Code, and serverless computing.
  • Strong understanding of software and infrastructure cost management.
  • Technical skills: Java, .NET, AWS, RedHat, ETL tools, front-end technologies; familiarity with Github Copilot and Jira.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, and building engineering talent pipelines.
