We're seeking an exceptional Staff Software Engineer to drive our mission forward.

This role is about building a trusted, scalable, and compliant platform that operates with speed, efficiency, and quality. As a key member of our team, you'll architect and develop platforms for financial data, providing technical structure to teams and working closely with management and stakeholders to define strategic roadmaps.

You'll manage individual projects, prioritize deadlines, and deliver high-quality results. Your expertise will be invaluable in mentoring and training other team members on design techniques and coding standards.

Our ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong background in architecting big data systems using technologies like Apache Spark and Hive. You'll also have a proven track record of upleveling junior engineers through effective processes and setting a high bar for them to follow.

In this role, you'll work closely with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to turn our vision into a tangible roadmap every quarter. You'll engage with upstream teams, enforce SLAs for data availability and quality, and add positive energy to every meeting, making your coworkers feel included in every interaction.

The successful candidate will have a passion for building an open financial system that brings the world together. They'll have experience integrating with NetSuite APIs, developing financial tools, transforming business/product data to accounting/financial domains, and working with banking partners or having knowledge of bank statements (API-based, file-based, SWIFT).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and develop platform for financial data
  • Provide technical structure to teams and work closely with management and stakeholders to define strategic roadmaps
  • Manage individual projects priorities, deadlines and deliverables with your technical expertise
  • Mentor and train other team members on design techniques and coding standards
  • Write high quality, well tested code to meet the needs of your customers
  • Engage with upstream teams and enforce SLAs for data availability and quality

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering
  • Strong background in architecting big data systems using technologies like Apache Spark and Hive
  • Proven track record of upleveling junior engineers through effective processes and setting a high bar for them to follow
