Retail Training Specialist Job Description

Drive business growth by delivering impactful training programs to front-line teams, focusing on sales performance, customer experience, product knowledge, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging training sessions for retail staff, team leaders, and support roles.
  • Collaborate with Operations, HR, and Business Teams to identify training needs and performance gaps.
  • Support new store openings and new hire onboarding with structured training rollouts.
  • Assess training effectiveness through evaluations, on-floor observations, and performance metrics.
  • Create digital training content (videos, decks, quizzes) for scalable learning.
  • Track and maintain training MIS: attendance, completion rates, feedback, and post-training performance.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, customer behavior insights, and retail innovations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in training, preferably in retail, eyewear, fashion, lifestyle, or e-commerce.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills—both in-person and virtual.
  • Hands-on experience with retail operations, customer handling, and POS systems is a plus.
  • Comfort with virtual training tools, LMS platforms, and digital content creation.
  • Ability to connect with store teams and drive motivation and accountability.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and follow-up skills.
