Job Title: Senior Structural Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team at AtkinsRéalis. As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality structural engineering designs and solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver project or parts of larger projects to completion, within budget and to program.
  • Ensure the provision of efficient high-quality structural engineering design.
  • Be the first point of contact for clients, contractors, design team, and third parties.
  • Offer support and guidance to more junior members of the team.
  • Effectively manage own time which may be necessary if allocated to more than one project.
  • Build client relationships and help identify business opportunities.
  • Be a technical champion who helps to develop our overall capability.
  • Assist in managing the broader team through mentoring and training.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Structural Engineering.
  • Experience of 8+ years working in Design office.
  • Competent in first principles, structural analysis (BMD, SFD & deflections), load paths.
  • Competent in design of Concrete and Steel structures.
  • Preferably, knowledge of European and American design standards with ability to work independently.
  • Experienced in providing analytical solutions using the structural design software's (Viz. ROBOT etc).
  • Good communication and presentation skills. Able to present the design options to the project leads/PM.
  • Flexible approach to work location.
  • Ability to take stance, act on your own initiative.
  • Chartered or near chartered with institutions like ICE or IStructE will be preferred, but not essential.
  • Experience of working with, and managing, small sized focused technical teams.
