Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our team in Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will play a vital role in driving technical excellence, mentoring team members, and shaping the direction of our backend projects.

About the Job

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the backend development team.
  • Collaborate effectively with product managers, designers, and other teams to deliver seamless integrations and exceptional user experiences.
  • Influence technical decisions and project direction based on your expertise in backend development using Ruby on Rails.
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering their professional growth and enabling them to deliver high-quality code.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A proven experience as a Backend Engineer with a strong track record of delivering high-quality software.
  • In-depth knowledge of distributed systems, cloud, and one of the backend languages.
  • Prior experience in a leadership or staff-level role within backend development.
  • Experience with database design, optimization, and query performance tuning.
