Seeking a skilled SAP ABAP Developer to deliver high-quality solutions integrated with Advanced Planner and Optimizer (APO) and Product Master Tool (PMT). Responsibilities include:

Key Accountabilities:
  1. ABAP Development & Customization
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain ABAP programs, reports, forms, and interfaces related to APO and PMT.
  • Design and implement custom solutions based on business and project requirements.
  • Debug, analyze, and optimize ABAP code for better system performance.
  • Create and modify SmartForms, Adobe Forms, BAPIs, BADIs, and User Exits for APO integration.
  1. APO Module Support
  • Collaborate with functional consultants to develop custom enhancements for SAP APO.
  • Configure and enhance CIF (Core Interface) between APO and ECC systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve APO-related integration issues.
  • Work on planning objects, heuristics, and optimizer models within APO.
  1. PMT Integration & Development
  • Develop ABAP objects supporting PMT-related processes and master data integration.
  • Ensure seamless integration between PMT and other SAP modules.
  • Maintain PMT configurations and resolve technical issues in coordination with functional teams.
  1. Testing, Documentation & Deployment
  • Support unit testing, integration testing, and UAT phases for all ABAP developments.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for developed objects and processes.
  • Collaborate with QA and deployment teams for smooth rollout of solutions.
  1. Collaboration & Support
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including BASIS, Functional, and Business users.
  • Provide production support and resolve defects/issues within SLAs.
  • Suggest process improvements and recommend ABAP best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Technical Skills:
  • Core Expertise: SAP ABAP development (5+ years).
  • Mandatory Expertise:
  • - APO: Core Interface, planning objects, heuristics, optimizer configurations, integration.
  • - PMT: ABAP developments, data integration, and enhancements.
  • - Hands-on experience with BAPIs, BADIs, RFCs, ALE/IDocs, SmartForms, Adobe Forms, and Workflows.
  • - Strong understanding of OOABAP programming concepts.
  • - Good exposure to performance tuning and code optimization techniques.
  • - Knowledge of integration points between SAP APO, ECC, and PMT.

Additional Skills:

  • Familiarity with SAP HANA and Fiori/UI5 development is an added advantage.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience as an SAP ABAP Developer with APO and PMT exposure.
  • SAP ABAP certification preferred but not mandatory.
