CSSD Specialist

This position is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of sterilization, storage, and distribution of medical instruments, equipment, and supplies in a healthcare facility. The CSSD Technician will ensure compliance with established protocols to prevent infections and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.

• Sterilization Processes: Operate and maintain sterilization equipment such as autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, and ethylene oxide gas sterilizers to meet the facility's needs.
• Follow Standard Protocols for sterilizing medical instruments and equipment, ensuring they are free from contamination and damage.
• Instrument Inspection: Inspect medical instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and any signs of damage or wear. Identify and report defective items for repair or replacement.
• Prepare instrument sets for sterilization using appropriate packaging materials and methods, adhering to quality control guidelines.
• Monitor and manage the inventory of sterile supplies, maintaining an adequate stock for medical procedures. Maintain accurate records of all sterilization processes, instrument inspections, and inventory management.
