Solar Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Solar Engineer to join our team.

Job Overview

The Solar Engineer will be responsible for tasks related to solar projects, including site assessment, system design, proposal preparation, identifying installers, project execution, and handing over on a day-to-day basis.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Site Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of potential solar sites to determine their feasibility for solar panel installation.
  • System Design: Design and develop comprehensive solar systems, taking into account the site's specific requirements and constraints.
  • Proposal Preparation: Prepare detailed proposals for solar projects, outlining the scope of work, timelines, and costs.
  • Installer Identification: Identify and select qualified installers for solar projects.
  • Project Execution: Oversee the installation and commissioning of solar systems, ensuring that they meet the required specifications and standards.
  • Handover: Hand over completed solar projects to clients, ensuring that they are satisfied with the final result.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering or Related Field: A diploma or bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is mandatory.
  • Solar Power Knowledge: You must have extensive knowledge of solar power, solar systems, PV design, electrical design, and complete BOS.
  • Experience in Solar Industry: Previous experience in the solar industry, particularly in electrical design, is highly desirable.
  • Certifications: Certifications in solar energy or related fields are a plus.
