We're looking for a skilled Staff AI Engineer to join our team and help us design and deploy AI solutions that drive real-world impact.

About the Role

The AI Engineering team is at the heart of transforming how millions of people access personalized nutrition and care. As a Staff AI Engineer, you will be part of a team that integrates intelligent systems across the entire member journey.

You will work on developing scalable, high-performance backend applications using TypeScript, Node.js, and relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL. This will involve building and maintaining APIs and microservices that enable real-time and batch inference of AI/ML models.

In addition, you will fine-tune and adapt pre-trained models (e.g., LLMs, classification models) for specific business use cases. You will also integrate external AI services (e.g., OpenAI, Hugging Face, Google Vertex AI) where appropriate.

Your key responsibilities will include collaborating with cross-functional teams—ML engineers, software developers, product managers, and DevOps—to deliver end-to-end AI-powered features.

Key Requirements
  • A strong background in backend engineering with experience building robust systems and a passion for applied AI.
  • Proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, and SQL, with experience delivering production-grade services.
  • Familiarity with deploying and integrating ML models into applications, including fine-tuning pre-trained models.
  • Ability to work comfortably across backend systems and AI pipelines.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
