Job Title: Senior Frontend Developer

We are seeking a seasoned technology professional to take on a key role in shaping our digital proposition. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality digital solutions and a keen interest in the application of technology in the sports industry.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop clean, reusable code following best practices and contribute to defining coding standards and team conventions.
  • Advocate for developer experience and continually improve it.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
  • Lead and influence the technical design, architecture, and development of digital projects.
  • Work closely with engineering managers, leads, and product managers to understand problems and define technical scope for global sports properties.
  • Set up software development frameworks for release management, automation, code quality, and source control.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to other engineers.
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and trends in sports technology.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • High proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Next.js, with experience in Node.js desirable.
  • Experience in CI/CD environments using tools like Circle CI, GitHub actions, or Azure DevOps.
  • Familiarity with DevOps and platform engineering culture.
  • Ability to build and ship applications using cloud platforms and services like Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Strong understanding of agile development practices, continuous integration, and test automation via unit, integration, contract, and E2E testing.
  • Proficiency in monitoring application performance and health using tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Data Dog, Sentry, etc.
  • Passion for building performant applications.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills with an eye for pragmatic solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain solutions and collaborate effectively with others.
  • Experience building services for high-traffic systems is desirable.
