Configuration Management Specialist

The Configuration Management Specialist plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity of our IT infrastructure. This includes managing and updating the Configuration Management System (CMS) and the Configuration Management Database (CMDB). The specialist will work closely with the Configuration Process Manager to ensure that all configuration items are accurately registered, and their associations are maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain the CMS and CMDB
  • Ensure accurate registration of configuration items
  • Maintain associations between configuration items
  • Interface with other support organizations to ensure effective use of the CMDB and CMS
  • Create reports and analyses for the Configuration Manager as requested

The ideal candidate will have a technical background with experience in at least one or multiple IT technologies, including hardware and software setup, management, and troubleshooting. They should also have experience working in a multi-site environment and be familiar with SCM tools and build automation software.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Conflict resolution abilities
