About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and experienced AWS Python Developer & Architect to join our innovative team at TransUnion LLC. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and architecting cloud-based solutions using Amazon Web Services (AWS) and the Python programming language.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements and design cloud-native solutions that meet business needs.
  • Develop Python-based applications and services, ensuring clean, maintainable, and efficient code that follows best practices.
  • Design and architect AWS solutions, selecting appropriate services and technologies to achieve optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Implement and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, and more.
  • Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes of applications.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of AWS resources, troubleshooting issues and implementing improvements as needed.
  • Implement security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and compliance within the AWS environment.
  • Mentor and collaborate with other developers to promote best practices in AWS architecture and Python programming.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AWS services, Python libraries, and industry trends, and apply them to enhance our projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Proven experience as a Python Developer, with a strong understanding of Python programming language.
  • Extensive experience designing and developing applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud platform.
  • Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, CloudFormation, etc.
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture, microservices, and best practices for building scalable and reliable applications on AWS.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment strategies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer) are highly desirable.
  • Automation experience with Ansible play books and programming languages like Python or PowerShell scripting.

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
