Job Description

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent computer proficiency, and a deep understanding of actuarial principles. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Performing detailed actuarial analysis to price and monitor current Group Life portfolio in order to generate profits in line with targets.
  • Developing a thorough and up-to-date knowledge of Munich Re, our Indian and Sri Lankan clients, life Insurance market in these countries, and major worldwide developments.
  • Preparing reinsurance quotes for Group business.
  • Supporting the Head of Pricing and Chief Actuary in delivering allocated projects related to actuarial activities.
  • Assisting in developing pricing research and reviewing pricing parameters.
  • Assisting in developing analytical tools and actuarial models to help obtain maximum value from available information.
  • Assisting in producing quality internal management information and reports to assist the decision-making process.

As an Actuarial Data Analyst at Munich Re, you will be part of a dynamic team that drives the digital transformation of the global insurance landscape. We offer a competitive salary of approximately $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • An Actuarial Student with 3-4 actuarial exams cleared (CM1, CS1, and CS2 preferred).
  • 0-1 year experience or internship in the life insurance or actuarial domain.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
