Job Title: SPM - Mechanical Design Engineer

This role is focused on delivering high-quality mechanical engineering components and solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation, electromechanical/mechatronics, and related concepts.

The selected individual will be responsible for:

  • Automating, designing, and developing mechanical engineering components and 2D detail drawings.
  • Working collaboratively as a key resource for mechanical design and development.
  • Understanding customer requirements and proposing optimized solutions.
  • Achieving customer specifications and requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience with automation, electromechanical/mechatronics, and related concepts.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and standards, particularly precision components and fabricated structures.
  • Familiarity with automation products and commercial items such as bearings, motors, gearboxes, servomotors, sensors, conveyors, etc.
  • Knowledge of machining processes, heat treatment processes, engineering materials, surface treatments, EDM/EBM/mechatronics, material handling equipment, limits fits, and tolerances.
  • Ability to understand and apply DFx (DFM, DFS, DFA) concepts.
  • Knowledge of robotics, robot selection, and application is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in CAD 2D/3D platforms, particularly AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
