Senior Accountant Job Description

The ideal candidate for this senior accountant role will be responsible for overseeing the entire accounting function, ensuring timely and accurate financial statement preparation, maintaining accurate bookkeeping, handling sales and purchase entries, preparing GST reconciliations, and managing statutory compliances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain up-to-date day-to-day accounting records and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Efficiently handle sales, purchase entries, and billing processes.
  • Prepare and manage GST reconciliation & filing to ensure seamless tax compliance.
  • Ensure timely preparation, review, and finalization of Balance Sheet and other financial statements.
  • Manage and oversee Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions to optimize cash flow.
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations to maintain accurate accounts.
  • Work on Bizzy Accounting Software for all accounting tasks and ensure efficient utilization of the system.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant accounting experience in a senior capacity.
  • Proven expertise in accounting principles, GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances.
  • Hands-on experience with Bizzy software or similar accounting tools is required.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com), Master's degree in Commerce (M.Com), MBA (Finance) or CA Inter or equivalent qualification is necessary.
