Full Stack Developer for Cloud Native System

The primary objective of this key position is to spearhead a critical initiative aimed at modernizing our legacy system.

Our team seeks an exceptionally skilled and motivated professional to join us in this offshore consultancy capacity.

This critical role will be responsible for leading the migration of core functionality from our current .NET monolith to a contemporary, event-driven architecture utilizing Java Spring Boot microservices.

The candidate's primary responsibilities will include deconstructing legacy .NET code that handles crucial integrations with our platform and re-implementing it as resilient, scalable, and cloud-native Java services.

You will play a pivotal role in modernizing our event-handling stack, transitioning away from a central .NET message broker to a distributed system built on Google Cloud Platform.

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who takes full ownership of their work from development to production, demonstrating confidence in deploying and maintaining services in a production environment.

1. Design & Develop: Architect, build, and maintain high-performance, scalable Java Spring Boot microservices.
2. Legacy Code Migration: Analyze existing .NET code that integrates with our loan servicing platform, understand its business logic, and lead its migration to the new Java stack.
3. Event-Driven Architecture: Decommission our legacy .NET message broker and implement a modern event-driven system using cloud-native technologies like Google Cloud Pub/Sub.
4. Cloud-Native Solutions: Build and deploy services using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies, including Cloud Functions, Spanner, and Firestore.
5. Code Quality & Deployment: Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code. Own the entire development lifecycle, demonstrating confidence in taking features to production through a robust CI/CD pipeline.
6. System Analysis: Go beyond the user story to develop a deep understanding of the entire system, identifying dependencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
7. Ai-Powered Migration: Utilize ai-based tools and methodologies to assist in the analysis, translation, and refactoring of legacy .NET code, improving the efficiency and accuracy of the migration.

• 5+ years of experience in backend software development, with a strong emphasis on enterprise-level systems.
• Expert-level proficiency in Java and the Spring Boot framework.
• Professional experience with .NET (C#), with a demonstrated ability to read, understand, and reverse-engineer legacy codebases.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), specifically with services like Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Spanner, and/or Firestore.
• Deep understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and event-driven design patterns.
• Proven experience working with message brokers and event streaming platforms (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka, GCP Pub/Sub).
• Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.
