Job Role: Application Packager

We are seeking a skilled Application Packager to take on this exciting opportunity. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in application packaging, testing, and deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage customer application packaging requirements as the primary point of contact.
  • Migrate applications from Windows 7/8/10 utilizing expertise in Admin Studio/Install shield.
  • Develop scripts using VB/WMI, Batch Scripting, PowerShell scripting, and the PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit.
  • Perform application testing and remediation to ensure compatibility with Windows 7/8 operating systems.
  • Create and repackaging applications using various packaging tools like Wise or Admin Studio.
  • Expertise in MSI Packaging, Tables, Custom Actions, Standard Actions using Windows Installer Technologies.
  • Troubleshoot issues using tools like FileMon/RegMon, PictureTaker, etc.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in Windows 7/8/10 Migration projects.
  • Proficient in Admin Studio/Install shield.
  • Rich experience in scripting languages (VB/WMI, Batch Scripting, PowerShell).
  • Familiarity with ACT 5.6 and application testing techniques.
  • Expertise in VMware Workstation/Oracle Virtual Box for virtual builds.
  • Knowledge of creating/repackaging applications using various packaging tools.
  • Sound knowledge of Windows Installer Technologies.

Bonus Points:

  • Prior experience with App-V 4.6 and 5.0 is highly desirable.
