We are seeking a seasoned industrial systems expert to lead the design configuration and deployment of Ignition SCADA and MES applications across manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in architecting and implementing real-time data acquisition, visualization, and reporting solutions.

They will also be responsible for ensuring seamless integration of OT systems (PLC, SCADA, MES) with enterprise IT systems, ERP databases, and cloud platforms.

Additionally, they will develop and maintain secure, efficient data exchange using REST APIs, MQTT, and OPC UA protocols.

Industrial database management is another key responsibility, including SQL historian and timeseries databases, for high availability and performance.

Cross-disciplinary collaboration is essential, as the successful candidate will work closely with teams to align system capabilities with production and business needs.

They will also provide technical leadership in digital transformation initiatives, such as Industry 4.0 smart manufacturing and predictive analytics.

Troubleshooting, optimizing, and supporting existing SCADA/MES deployments to ensure minimal downtime is also critical to the role.

Lastly, mentorship and knowledge sharing with junior engineers and peers is an important aspect of the position.

Key Requirements:
  • Proven expertise with Ignition SCADA, Inductive Automation, scripting module configuration, and project deployment.
  • Strong background in MES functions, production tracking, OEE, downtime analysis, traceability, SPC, etc.
  • Proficiency with database technologies, including SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with OT/IT integration technologies, REST APIs, MQTT, and OPC UA.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial control systems, PLC, SCADA, HMIs, and plant floor connectivity.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing standards, ISA95, ISA88, ISA99, IEC 62443, etc.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience with cloud-based IIoT platforms, Azure IoT, AWS IoT, etc.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in OT environments.
  • Familiarity with containerization, Docker, Kubernetes, for SCADA/MES deployments.
  • Experience in working on large-scale digital transformation, Industry 4.0 projects.
  • Certifications, Ignition Gold Certified Specialist, OPC UA, or relevant industrial IT/OT certifications.
