Position Overview:

Xiaomi India is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Sourcing Lead to drive localization and partnerships with vendors for finished goods and components. This senior leadership role requires close collaboration with global teams to achieve strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement long-term strategic plans for localization, manufacturing, and partnership.
  • Collaborate with the Xiaomi global sourcing team to develop and execute a localization and cost-reduction roadmap.
  • Identify existing and upcoming components and raw material suppliers for potential evaluation.
  • Benchmark and analyze competition's local sourcing strategy and plan, including vendors' landscape.
  • Develop and maintain vendor relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree and at least 12-15 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing/Vendor Management. Electrical/Electronics Engineering background preferred.
  • Strong preference for experience dealing with multinational vendors and both electronics and mechanical parts sourcing.
  • Strong network in the industry, including Smartphone component and component raw material vendors.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and establish clear goals and accountabilities to ensure success.
  • Skills:

  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of managing sourcing for global companies.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Travel is required for this position.
