Lead Wordpress Developer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Wordpress Engineer to lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade Wordpress solutions.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in Wordpress architecture, plugin development, and custom theme creation. They should be hands-on with PHP, JavaScript, React/Node.js, HTML5, CSS3, REST/GraphQL APIs, and experience with Adobe Experience Manager or other enterprise CMS platforms.

This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless CMS experiences, evaluating and recommending modern CMS solutions based on project needs, mentoring junior developers, ensuring timely delivery, managing code reviews, and maintaining documentation for technical implementations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-quality, scalable, and secure Wordpress solutions
  • Architect and implement custom themes, plugins, and integrations tailored to business requirements
  • Collaborate with UX designers, QA engineers, and DevOps teams to deliver exceptional CMS experiences
  • Evaluate and recommend modern CMS solutions based on project needs
  • Mentor junior developers to drive best practices in coding, performance optimization, and security
  • Ensure timely delivery, manage code reviews, and maintain documentation for technical implementations

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong expertise in Wordpress architecture, plugin development, and custom theme creation
  • Hands-on experience with PHP, JavaScript, React/Node.js, HTML5, CSS3, REST/GraphQL APIs
  • Experience with Adobe Experience Manager or other enterprise CMS platforms
  • Familiarity with cloud hosting (AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage stakeholders, and deliver complex CMS projects

  • Knowledge of performance testing, SEO optimization, and accessibility standards
