Mainframe Cobol Developer

We are seeking a seasoned professional with expertise in Mainframe Cobol programming, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, and IMS.

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance COBOL applications to meet business requirements.
  • Create, test, and debug high-performance batch and online processing COBOL code.
  • Modify and update existing COBOL applications to improve efficiency or add new features.
JCL (Job Control Language) Skills:
  • Create and maintain JCL scripts for efficient batch job management.
  • Optimize JCL for job scheduling, monitoring, and error handling.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve JCL-related issues that impact batch processing.
DB2 (Database) Skills:
  • Design and develop DB2 queries for optimal database interaction.
  • Integrate COBOL programs with DB2 for data retrieval, insertion, and updating.
  • Maintain database integrity and optimize SQL for large-scale banking transactions.
VSAM (Virtual Storage Access Method) Skills:
  • Work with VSAM files for efficient data storage and retrieval.
  • E nsure seamless COBOL program interaction with VSAM files.
  • Manage VSAM datasets, including creation, deletion, and maintenance.
CICS (Customer Information Control System) Skills:
  • Develop and maintain CICS-based applications for seamless online transaction processing.
  • Optimize transaction processing in CICS environments for real-time banking applications.
