Job Description

The Training Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the training and development of medical coders within the organization. This role involves designing and implementing training programs, ensuring compliance with coding standards and regulations, and maintaining high levels of coding accuracy and efficiency.

Key responsibilities include recruiting, training, and supervising a team of medical coding trainers, conducting performance evaluations, and providing ongoing coaching and mentorship.

Additionally, the Training Manager will develop career development plans for coding staff to foster growth and advancement within the organization.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in clinical sciences, General Life Science, or a related field
  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent certification required
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in medical coding with at least 5 years in a training or supervisory role
  • In-depth knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and other relevant coding systems
