Lead Software Quality Assurance Professional

This position is responsible for leading the quality assurance efforts to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality.
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Quality Assurance Lead to spearhead our quality initiatives, collaborate closely with our engineering team, and drive seamless feature delivery. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will be responsible for developing comprehensive test plans, implementing rigorous testing and automation planning, and mentoring junior team members.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive test plans to ensure all development tasks meet quality criteria through rigorous testing and automation planning.
- Collaborate closely with the engineering team to understand product architecture and functionality to ensure seamless feature delivery.
- Work diligently on meeting project deadlines while continually raising the bar on quality processes for every release.
- Take complete ownership of release deliverables, handle multitasking, and provide mentorship to junior team members.
- Generate high-quality QA artifacts such as test plans, test cases, and test execution reports, as well as release deployment guides.
- Identify, document, and track defects, working collaboratively with the development team to resolve issues efficiently.
- Prepare and configure test environments, including software installations and configurations, ensuring optimal performance.
- Conduct exploratory testing to uncover defects that might not be addressed by traditional test cases.
- Deploy microservices applications in the Engineering environment, streamlining the process.
- Support the SRE team during production releases, ensuring smooth deployments.
- Improve processes for test plan reviews, ensuring that test plans are thoroughly reviewed by all stakeholders. Review Test Strategies to guarantee thoroughness in test scenarios.
- Assist in troubleshooting customer issues, providing root cause analysis when needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in functional and automating testing of SAAS products, with leadership experience managing teams of 3-5 engineers.
- Experience on public or private Cloud platforms is mandatory.
- Certification in AWS, Azure, or GCP is highly valued.
- Hands-on experience in test automation of multi-tier Enterprise and/or Cloud, SaaS applications.
- Must have experience with microservices architecture using Kubernetes and Docker containers.
- Hands-on experience in functional UI and API automation.
- Proficiency in Linux is essential.
- Experience with Kafka, Elasticsearch, Cassandra, Oracle DB is a plus.
