Job Description:

As a key member of our organization, the Information Security Risk Analyst will play a pivotal role in identifying and mitigating potential risks across various assets. This includes conducting comprehensive risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities, evaluating existing controls, and developing effective treatment plans.

  • Identify, analyze, and evaluate risks associated with products, platforms, processes, and changes, following the RMF stages of Identification & Analysis & Evaluation, and document impacted assets, threats, existing controls, vulnerabilities, and consequences.
  • Apply consistent scoring using defined likelihood/impact scales (Low=1, Medium=2, High=3) and determine Low/Medium/High levels per thresholds.
  • Develop treatment decisions (mitigate/retain/avoid/share) and produce clear treatment plans with owners and dates, ensuring acceptance and escalation based on criteria.
  • Manage the Risk Register with current statuses, residual risk, review dates, and evidence.
  • Communicate results and treatment plans to stakeholders, maintaining two-way communication and traceability.
  • Monitor and trigger re-reviews when assets, threats, or vulnerabilities change, scheduling periodic reassessments and reporting posture and trends as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for various assets, including products, platforms, and processes.
  • Apply established risk scoring models to determine likelihood and impact levels.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date risk registers, ensuring timely reviews and updates.
  • Communicate risk assessment results and treatment plans to relevant parties, fostering open dialogue.
  • Proactively monitor and adjust risk assessments as necessary, scheduling regular reviews to maintain a proactive stance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in risk management frameworks and methodologies, including the RMF.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
