Data Engineer Job Description

Our team is looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join our organization. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing large-scale data processing systems that are fast, reliable, and scalable.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science, experience with modern data processing frameworks, and excellent problem-solving skills. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects and collaborate with data scientists and analysts to develop innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and maintain large-scale data processing systems using modern technologies such as Apache Beam or Spark.
  • Develop high-quality code in languages such as Java, Python, or Scala, and ensure that it meets coding standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with data architects, data scientists, and analysts to design and implement data pipelines that meet evolving business requirements.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery and provide technical guidance and support.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of professional experience in data engineering, with a proven track record of leading large-scale projects.
  • Deep expertise in modern cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery).
  • Advanced SQL skills and strong experience with relational and columnar database systems.
  • Proficiency in data pipeline/workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Dagster, Luigi).
  • Solid programming background (Python, Scala, or Java) for data processing and automation.
