Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled professional to lead the implementation of our Personal Information Protection Act compliance framework.

The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of our compliance program in alignment with Bermuda equivalent data protection regulations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Implement the PIPA compliance framework across all business units.
  • Conduct a comprehensive assessment of current data privacy policies, systems, and processes to identify gaps against PIPA requirements.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Risk, IT Security, Compliance, and Business Units to define and implement appropriate controls for data collection, storage, access, and sharing.
  • Establish governance structures, reporting mechanisms, and escalation paths to ensure compliance tracking and accountability.
  • Manage vendor relationships and third-party assessments related to data processing and privacy.
  • Design and facilitate training and awareness programs for staff on data protection principles and responsibilities under PIPA.
  • Prepare project plans, status reports, risk registers, and ensure timely delivery within scope.
