About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to make a significant impact in the mainframe system environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring mainframes through the HMA, using HCD to create new IO gens, and supporting third-party vendor software used in the mainframe environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain mainframe system environment
  • Configure mainframes through the HMA and use HCD to create new IO gens
  • Support third-party vendor software used in the mainframe environment
  • Install and maintain various software packages
  • Interface with vendors to resolve incident cases

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent knowledge of mainframe system internals, including z/OS, JES, TSO/ISPF, USS, etc.
  • Knowledge of SMP/E and zOSMF to install and configure various mainframe products and components
  • Programming knowledge, especially assembler and REXX (a plus)
  • College/Technical Degree with 8-10 years' technical experience, with increasing responsibilities and knowledge and expertise
