About the Role

As a key contributor to our organization's success, we are seeking an experienced and skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, with a focus on building and maintaining highly available services, automating operational tasks, and monitoring system health.

The Site Reliability Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable and reliable infrastructure for production systems, using tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform. Additionally, they will automate repetitive operational tasks, deployments, and monitoring using tools like Grafana and Prometheus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implement Infrastructure: Develop and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure for production systems.
  • Automation and Monitoring: Automate repetitive operational tasks, deployments, and monitoring.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with software engineering teams to build reliable and efficient services.
  • Incident Response and Analysis: Participate in on-call rotations and manage incident response to minimize downtime.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Document processes, architecture, and troubleshooting guides to ensure knowledge sharing and transfer within the team.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Proven 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering with tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and networking fundamentals, proficiency with scripting and programming languages such as Python, Go, Bash, or Ruby, and experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
