Job Description

Data Architect and Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Data Architect and Engineer to join our team. As a Data Architect and Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable data architectures using Snowflake.

You will build ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake Tasks, Streams, and Stored Procedures, and develop JavaScript/SQL stored procedures and UDFs for complex transformations.

In addition, you will design data models with clustering keys and optimize micro-partitioning, implement Snowpipe for real-time ingestion and external tables for data lake integration, and manage multi-cluster warehouses to implement resource monitors for cost control.

Our ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Snowflake development, strong knowledge of Snowflake SQL and basic JavaScript programming, as well as working knowledge of Tasks, Streams, Stages, File Formats, Time Travel, and experience with dbt core concepts (models, sources, tests, snapshots).

The successful candidate will also have an understanding of warehouse sizing, auto-suspend/resume, and query optimization, familiarity with RBAC, data types, and semi-structured data (JSON/XML), and basic knowledge of SnowSQL CLI and Snowflake web interface.

Requirements:

  1. Hands-on Snowflake development experience
  2. Strong Snowflake SQL and basic JavaScript programming skills
  3. Working knowledge of Tasks, Streams, Stages, File Formats, Time Travel, and dbt core concepts (models, sources, tests, snapshots)
  4. Understanding of warehouse sizing, auto-suspend/resume, and query optimization
  5. Familiarity with RBAC, data types, and semi-structured data (JSON/XML)
  6. BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF SNOWSQL CLI AND SNOWFLAKE WEB INTERFACE
