Academic Advisor Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Academic Advisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing personalized guidance and support to students, helping them achieve their academic goals.

  • Conduct in-depth consultations with prospective learners to discuss available upskill courses, certification paths, eligibility criteria, curriculum benefits, tools taught, and expected career outcomes.
  • Address queries regarding course tools and software, entry-level requirements, and program pathways.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work in a target-driven environment. They will also be comfortable using technology to manage leads and track progress.

Key Responsibilities:Student Counselling:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with students, providing ongoing support and guidance throughout their academic journey.
  • Use consultative counselling techniques to help students make informed decisions about their education and career paths.
Lead Management & Conversion:
  • Manage a pipeline of potential students, nurturing leads through regular contact and follow-up.
  • Utilize CRM software to track lead interactions, update records, and monitor progress towards enrolment targets.
Enrolment Goal Fulfilment:
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly enrolment targets while maintaining high standards of transparency and ethics in student counselling.
  • Build trust-based relationships with students, ensuring they have clarity and confidence throughout the admission process.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
  • Liaise with internal teams to align on messaging, course content, and recruitment strategies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from a recognized institution.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Empathetic and persuasive counselling approach with strong interpersonal sensitivity.
  • Comfortable working in a target-driven environment with an emphasis on process compliance and detail.
